Quality Inn

On my first night, after traveling for hours, I checked the bed and went to sleep. Around 2 am, yelling outside woke me up. I looked out and saw a woman smoking crack in her car. It went on until morning. When I got up, I found a pool of blood and drops by the nightstand near the head of the bed. I showed a photo to the supervisor, whose name sounded like “We’re,” though I’m unsure of the spelling because he had no name badge. He didn’t apologize or suggest a fix until I explained that blood is a serious biohazard. He offered me $10 back. I had to stay in Madison longer than planned, but elsewhere. On my last night before traveling again, I gave the hotel another try because it’s conveniently close to the highway. The manager remembered me and asked if I wanted to inspect the room first. I did, and found sticky stuff on the floor, like a spilled drink. I wiped up a bit with a tissue, but I wasn’t going to clean the whole floor myself. At the desk, I told him the floor was dirty. He said, “I THINK ANOTHER HOTEL WOULD DO YOU BETTER, MAYBE A CHEAPER ONE.” I left right away.

The fire alarm went off, and even after two hours the bright light was still blinking. There wasn’t any immediate danger, so someone should know how to turn it off. It kept everyone from getting a decent night’s sleep, and it especially bothers a child with special needs. The owners need to communicate effectively and learn how to run a hotel. No wonder the reviews are so negative. Shame on them for disregarding their guests.

My daughter booked a room while she was in Madison for a conference, and they charged her twice, overdrawing her bank account. Neither of us has managed to reach a manager to resolve it. I spoke with J. Patel, who apparently isn’t the manager, but he says the manager is also J. Patel, then tells me the manager isn’t available and hangs up. The room wasn’t worth even one charge, let alone two. Avoid this place and stay elsewhere. I only gave it one star because I had to rate it to post this review.

The mattress was old, hard, cheap, and had no firmness at all. Its cover was disgusting. They’ve put in a newer floor, sink, and paint, but the place still smells musty and old, and I could hear the wind singing through the window. One of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in. Never again. A refund wouldn’t fix the experience.
