Fairfield Inn & Suites Cordele

The train noise never bothered me, even though I’m a pretty light sleeper, and there were more TV channels than I find at most hotels. It’s an older place that could use some updating, but our room was nice. Breakfast was the usual hotel kind. I’d stay here again.

The bed seemed tilted, the closet door was crooked, and the pillows weren’t comfortable. I also wondered whether the room had really been cleaned, since the toilet clearly hadn’t had its bowl scrubbed recently. The hot water took a while to heat up, and the odd location right beside the I-75 ramp meant plenty of road noise. This is definitely the budget end of Marriott brands, and it wasn’t a pleasant stay.

I travel from the Florida Keys to Tennessee several times a year, and this place has always been great. The rooms were clean, and I have nothing bad to say about it. The ladies at the front desk are awesome.

The staff were friendly and efficient, but the bathroom and shower in room 130 were disgusting. Black gunk had been smeared all over the inside of the curtain, with more left on the tub and walls. The sheets were clean but stained, and the wall thermostat didn’t work. Breakfast was nasty, just powdered eggs and sausage. The eggs hadn’t been stirred and had water sitting in the middle. By 8:30, it looked like nobody had touched them. Denny's was great. At $170 a night, I wish the Hampton inn hadn’t been full.
