Hampton Inn & Suites Cordele

We found this place just a few minutes before checking in, arriving late on our way to Key West, and they welcomed us right away despite the early morning. The room was clean, the shower was hot, and the temperature felt comfortable. We had a great stay. Tri and Iesha were incredibly friendly, as was the lady who checked us in. You can tell this Hampton Inn and its staff ‘Tri’ their best to make the stay a good one. 😉

JAYLAH WATERS was a superstar. She handled all my requests and kept checking on me during my stay. She was the most professional hotel employee I’ve ever seen, and I travel a lot, mostly with Marriott Bonvoy. Denise also helped JAYLAH. The staff were outstanding overall, and JAYLAH gave better service than the other staff, including the managers. This was the best experience I’ve had at any Hilton Hotel, and at any Marriott Bonvoy property I’ve stayed at. Give her a management roll, she’s the best!

We had car trouble in Cordele and needed somewhere for the night before Thanksgiving while traveling with our 3 kids and dog. The staff were incredibly kind, patient, and compassionate about our situation. The rooms were very clean and well kept, the beds were comfortable, and the doggie area was well managed and had poop bags. I used to work at a bed and breakfast, so I pay close attention to details when we stay somewhere. This was the best hotel stay I’ve had apart from some places I stayed in Europe and Greece. I highly recommend the Hampton Inn in Cordele, whether you’re visiting the area’s tourism sights, which looked fun, or stopping on a trip. You won’t regret staying here. We’ll stop again if we need a place between our home and my mom’s.

The bed was clean and comfortable, the AC worked well, and the breakfast attendant was friendly and outgoing. Housekeeping seemed to be doing the best they could, since the bed and bathrooms were at least very clean. Still, the room smelled of mildew, and the curtains and couch had permanent stains. Fixtures and counters were chipped and scratched, the parking lot asphalt was cracked everywhere, and the hotel badly needs renovation. Train tracks right beside the property kept me awake at night. The area also seemed shady, and with very few cameras in the lot, I’d worry about leaving a nice car parked overnight. Breakfast was below what I’ve had at other Hampton properties, with watery eggs and lukewarm coffee. At check-in, the front desk agent didn’t acknowledge my honors status. That’s a small gripe, but I’ve come to enjoy that perk at Hilton properties. I was also meant to get 2 cold water bottles and a snack, but got 2 room-temperature waters and no snack. The agent wasn’t rude, but wasn’t friendly and didn’t seem to enjoy her job. For a Hampton Inn, this location was awful, and I wouldn’t stay again. It needs new management.
