Comfort Suites Cordova

I booked two rooms for my son’s birthday on February 14, and the stay turned into a headache. The pool was supposed to be lukewarm, but it was ice cold, so the kids couldn’t swim, which was the whole reason we booked. We were also told there was only one towel per room because they were short on towels and the dryer wasn’t working properly. I had to go buy towels so seven boys could shower. The pull-out couches had sheets but no blankets, so I had to add those to my Walmart bill, too. The TV cords barely fit into the wall, and the TVs kept cutting out. A manager was supposed to return my call, but I’ve been calling all week. After paying for this, guests shouldn’t be treated this way. This place needs to close. I repeat, don’t stay here. It isn’t worth the money.

Getting to my room was an adventure since there were no room numbers. Inside, every surface was stained and covered with stuff left by previous guests, so bring your own Lysol wipes, sheets, and blankets. The place needs to be stripped down and started over. Everything seems broken, falling apart, stained, or gross. The lobby floor had spills everywhere, and the elevator looked like it was barely holding together, so take the stairs. There was no TV remote. At the desk, someone handed me a grubby one wrapped with duct tape and said, “try this.” It didn’t work either. Breakfast was stale cereal, toast, frozen muffins, and a waffle maker. I could write a thesis about this mess. Avoid this hotel.

The room was huge, and the place was quiet when I stayed because there were lots of vacancies. Breakfast was ordinary but decent. It was cheap for a one-night stop on the road, though the hotel is tucked far behind a Costco parking lot. The front desk service felt odd, the elevator was out, and the place wasn’t very clean.

This was my second stay, and the one night I spent here on October 25-26 wasn’t as good as the first. The property is decent, but it’s overdue for maintenance. The elevator was out of service, my room’s air conditioner didn’t work, and some of the furniture was broken.
