Americas Best Value Inn Painted Post

I had a restful, enjoyable stay, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It's an older motor lodge locals know as the old Lodge on the Green. The room was really clean, though the bed skirts were left untidy and the coffee pod hadn't been removed or replaced. Prices were great after the NASCAR crowd cleared out, and the pet deposit was the lowest I've come across. They have a decent grab-and-go breakfast. I didn't use the pool, so I can't comment on it.

For a quick road trip stop, this turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The room was bigger than I expected and had the basics, including a TV, mini fridge, and microwave. The bed was decent even with my bad back, though I might not want it for more than a couple of nights. Check-in was quick, and staff pointed out good parking for our U-Haul and trailer so we could get out easily. I've paid a lot more for less, and we had no complaints.

It was clean, we felt safe, and for the price it worked as a place to stop for the night while driving home to Pittsburgh from New England. The main drawback was how dated it was, with a lot of worn furnishings. Still, I can't say much bad about it.

The room was clean, which was the main thing, but so much of it needs renovation. The sink was cracked, the mirror and toilet seat were worn, and I didn't feel comfortable sitting down or showering there. Luckily, I'd showered that morning before we arrived. Service was terrible, too. I tried calling the front desk, but nobody answered.
