Room #6 got too hot, and there was no thermostat to adjust it. We had to leave the window open for a couple of hours before it cooled to a comfortable temperature. The tower bells next door rang at 8pm and 9pm and kept us from sleeping. The plumbing was noisy too. Whenever anyone used water anywhere in the hotel, it seemed like the pipes could be heard.

The Cornish Inn was charming, and we had a great stay. We were also able to get a lovely vegan breakfast at the restaurant downstairs.

Lindsay’s, inside the Inn, has a wonderful breakfast menu, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and capable. Cornish itself is great for antique shopping, and be sure to leave time for the public library across the street, which has some lovely artwork. The Cornish Inn felt like an authentic Maine experience. The restored old building has lots to admire, especially the wide plank floors and vintage furnishings. Our room was charming and comfortable, with none of that bland modern motel feel.

The friendly staff arrived at 8am with coffee and really tasty muffins, which we were glad to see. Before that, though, there was no coffee in the lobby, and nobody told us it would arrive. The restaurant was closed when we visited midweek, and there aren't many local breakfast options. The Inn sits on a very busy, loud main road. We had two rooms, both with awkward bath and shower setups. It was okay, but I don't plan to return.

We had a wonderful stay for a Maine wedding. The rooms were beautifully decorated, and I loved the view from my window. The staff were very helpful. Staying on the top floor is a good idea since Lindsey’s restaurant is connected to the ground floor and can get a little noisy at times. Highly recommend!
