Staybridge Suites Corona South by IHG

The front desk staff were pleasant, the beds were comfortable, and the location was great. But I stayed here around eight years ago and it was much better then. This time the place looked neglected: stains on the carpet and ceiling, and a sunken couch that needs replacing. A sharp metal piece on one bed had torn the sheet. I only spotted it as we were leaving, and I'm glad the kids weren't hurt. During our four days there, nobody cleaned the room. I had to ask the desk twice for towels and toilet paper, and we left our bagged trash outside the door for housekeeping because they never collected it.

For what I paid, the room was clean, and breakfast was good. Daniel had me checked in within five minutes, which was one of my fastest check-ins ever, thanks to Expedia. The layout was awkward, especially the swivel TV: whether I sat on the sofa or lay in bed, I had to watch from a strange angle. Please bring back individual soaps and toiletries. I don't trust those dispensers when anyone can access them and you don't know what some unpleasant person might put inside. I only stayed one day because I had work, so I missed the evening get-together and didn't get to use the gym, basketball court, or workstation. Also, there's a soda machine by breakfast, so please turn it on for people like me who don't want coffee, juice, or milk. Thanks in advance.

My dad died on May 11, and they still haven't refunded me, even though I never stayed there. I had cancelled more than 24 hours ahead. He had stage 4 liver cancer, and I explained my family's situation to Expedia, but the manager refused to return the nearly $300 charge for the night we wouldn't use. We visit my parents in Corona often, but we'll never stay here again. That decision felt heartless and has left me deeply disappointed and angry. I'm telling my family and friends never to stay here. Shame on the people running this hotel.

The room was excellent, but I needed one more pillow and the night employee said they didn't have any extras. Since my surgery, I sleep best at an incline, and the two flat pillows weren't enough to prop me up.
