Best Western Northwest Corpus Christi Inn & Suites

My wife and I come from Dallas every weekend to see our daughter in Kingsville, about 45 minutes away, and this is the only hotel we want to use. The rooms are big, the bed is huge, and the shower is perfect. We've never had trouble with hot water or pressure. There's also usually no one in the pool, which we love for the privacy. What keeps us coming back is the customer service. We usually arrive around 7 in the evening, and the night front desk girl is the sweetest, most helpful person I've met. I don't know her name, but I believe she's from India. Her background doesn't matter, I just want to make sure she isn't confused with another worker. She's a wonderful person and employee, and I hope management sees this. We'll keep making the 45-minute drive as long as she works there, even though we could stay in Kingsville. Last week we planned to pay for another night, but the day-shift woman was the opposite of helpful. She was snarky and charged far too much. We had paid 114$ the night before, which felt well worth it, but she tried to charge us 245$ for one night. We thought she was trying to rip us off, so we left. I wish the young woman from the night shift worked both day and night. She's such a sweetheart!

The smell in the hotel and rooms was really unpleasant. We only needed a quick overnight stay and weren't expecting a five-star place, but this still fell below what we expected. We mainly chose it for the included breakfast, and that was a letdown: not much variety, eggs that made me gag, bacon that looked soggy so I left it alone, and yogurt from the dispenser that tasted awful. I also don't think anyone checked often enough to keep the food station fresh and clean during service. It could work for a last-minute stay, but otherwise I'd look at other local options.

I stay here regularly for work and have had no trouble. It's been quiet at night, the rooms are clean, and the staff have always tried to accommodate me. The place is well kept, and after a long day at work I can walk to the restaurant next door.

The staff were courteous, and Sarah was especially helpful and hospitable. The pool is beautiful, and breakfast was great. It's fine for an overnight stay, and I'd come back if I'm in the neighborhood.
