Best Western Paradise Inn

The power went out during my stay, and with a business meeting the next morning I couldn’t get ready in the dark room. I know outages happen, but the person at the front desk wasn’t apologetic when I reported it, and the customer service overall was poor. The lack of AC was no small thing in Corpus Christi’s humidity, either. I left as soon as I could. I’m giving two stars only because the woman who checked me in was nice. The odor other people mentioned was awful, like humidity mixed with chemicals. It was so bad!

We stop here for a night on our weekend road trips with the kids to Mustang Island State Park. It’s conveniently close and right along the way. The rooms are cozy and clean, just what we need, and the complimentary breakfast has a decent selection. Staff are friendly and helpful. Good value for the price.

Julio was helpful when I called to book, and Victoria was so sweet at check-in. The bed and pillows were especially comfortable, better than a more expensive Fairfield Hotel stay I had about a month earlier. It’s proof you can get good quality for a fair price. For a motel, this was a surprisingly clean and quiet stay, even though it sits right beside a major highway.

Buakta at reception made check-in quick and easy, greeting me warmly and helping with questions and local suggestions throughout my stay. She was friendly and professional, and her kindness made me feel at home. The hotel itself felt peaceful and welcoming. My room was clean, spacious, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a relaxing visit. I’d recommend it for a comfortable stay and good service, and I’ll be back.
