We took a chance because we'd stayed in cheaper hotels before and this one had fairly good reviews. That turned out to be a bad choice. The property looked abandoned when we pulled up, with tall weeds and poor upkeep. The clerk was hard to understand, so communication was rough. The room looked clean at first, but the door wouldn't shut or lock properly, and as a small-framed woman I felt I could have forced it open. The showerhead was so low it seemed made for someone 4 feet 4, otherwise you had to squat to wash. The patched bathtub looked rough, and there was a gaping hole around the sink with no strainer or stopper. We killed several stink bugs in the room. The fridge wouldn't keep our drinks cold, and the ice machine was empty. Noise from upstairs went on all night, so we got little sleep. The whole place needs repairs, updates, and cleaning. I definitely wouldn't encourage anyone to stay.

I won't come back. It was the worst night's sleep I've had in decades because the mattress had a huge crater, and I kept rolling toward the middle whenever I moved. The sink had no warm water because its faucet was broken, and the showerhead was at eye level, so I had to kneel in the tub to wash my hair.

One tip: keep your room key card away from your cell phone, since the phone can deactivate it. Apart from that, I had a wonderful stay. The room was clean and quiet, the sheets and bed were clean, and all the appliances worked, including the TV, AC, and refrigerator. Free breakfast was included, and I'd stay here again. Rooms cost less if you book online, around 4:00 p.m. when prices are lowest.

Breakfast had cold cereal, yogurt, milk, bread for toast, bagels and cream cheese, juice, jelly, and things for making pancakes or waffles. The staff were cordial and helpful. My room was comfortable, with a table and chair, a recliner, and a comfortable queen-size bed. The bathroom was in good condition with hot water. Great value, and I'd recommend it and likely stay again when I'm in the area. Charles Fantz
