The room was awful and unclean. They kept my deposit, and they talked down about Jesus.

My brother was found dead in his room here. The medical examiner called to tell me. Hotel staff said they'd thrown away all his belongings, including his wallet. I can't say anything good about this place. It has drugs and homelessness around it. Keep your friends and family away, and don't stay here.

I lived here for nine months, and the condition of the place was awful. The bathroom had hair everywhere and pee on the toilet seat, the sheets were dirty, and it looked like the room hadn't been cleaned. There was black mold, roaches, rats, and a section at the back was burned out and boarded up. The roof was caving in around the motel, too. We didn't even have toilet paper at check-in, and they don't provide it. The motel needs to be rebuilt, and the people running it were rude and unprofessional. I had no lock on my door. When they moved us, they charged us for two rooms, even though we paid $1,200 a month and one room was unusable because of the missing lock and mold. I paid an extra $340, which felt like extortion. The manager, Kevin Patel, says he's the owner. He and his young girlfriend harassed guests in the parking lot, demanding to know where they were going and why. She'd scream at people and claimed to own the place. She's 20 and lives at the Executive Inn Motel on Leopard, which is even worse. The curfew is 10:00 p.m. every night because they don't want to be bothered. They also let homeless people stay in a closet in exchange for work, without paying them, and many of them seemed shady. Avoid this place.

I liked the people here, and they were willing to work with us. Some of the rooms are quite nice, but only a handful have been remodeled. The rest need a lot of work. Our bathroom had no electricity, and the promised microwave and TV remote never showed up. Housekeeping never knocked or asked if we needed anything. We had to go to the front desk five times a day to pay because no one was there. Still, I like the place overall.

We needed somewhere to stay for two days after our house flooded, so I rented a two-bedroom room. The place was functional, and the shower was usable, but the room made a bad first impression. The bed frame looked like it came from a dump, the door looked as if it had been kicked in, and there wasn't even a room number on it. The Wi-Fi never worked in the room. I also wondered why the clerk took my card behind the desk window and typed on his computer when I paid. The bigger problem came when my brother woke me and said the manager wanted me outside. As soon as I stepped out, the manager started yelling. I'd only left the room to get the Wi-Fi password and pick up pizza, but he seemed to think more than two people were staying there. He kept demanding to know who else was in the room, said something in his language, then yelled into the room. I yelled back a bit, sorry, but I was trying to explain that it was just us and he kept raising his voice. He told me to go to the office and wouldn't let me return to the room first. I cut my foot walking there barefoot, then waited about eight minutes for him to come over. At the office, he argued that I was one of her people. I don't know anyone there, and neither does my family. He looked at my ID and my brother's, quieted down, gave them back, and let us return. I understand that people may have different cultures, but being yelled at straight away and falsely accused was extremely rude. That's why I gave one star. I left early, still angry at 2 a.m. Also, be careful with the outlets. My phone went black and died after staying there, and I had to buy a new one. I tried the fixes suggested by other people and the phone company.
