Super 8 By Wyndham Corpus Christi Northwest

The room was musty and disgusting. We lifted the mattress to look for bed bugs and found dirty Q-tips stuffed underneath. I walked straight out and told the receptionist I didn’t care if I got my money back, I couldn’t stay there. Don’t waste your money.

There were baby roaches on the dresser and in the cabinet beside the microwave. The in-room coffee maker was dirty, with crud all over it. Breakfast was very limited and poorly stocked. I kept having to ask for basics like paper towels, syrup, and milk. The restroom in the breakfast area was out of order all three days I stayed. Another family member had a nonsmoking room that smelled like old smoke, or just unpleasant in general.

I love it here. Of all the Super 8 hotels, this one’s been the best so far. Everything matches the pictures, no catch like at some other hotels. It’s my second night here and I still haven’t found anything wrong. 🔥

For a cheap motel, it’s much nicer than a Motel 6 or places around the same price. The front desk staff were really kind, and there was no deposit charge, which was nice. The bathroom drain was clogged with hair, though, the hot tub didn’t work, and the pool needs cleaning if you don’t want to swim with bugs. At that price, those things were easy enough to overlook.
