Imperial Motel

Worst hotel ever. I've been here for two weeks and wake up every morning with one or two new bites. They have baby bed bugs, absolutely disgusting 🤢🤢

The fridge and microwave in the room were useful, and there were an ironing board and nice toiletries too. I don't think there was a continental breakfast, though hotels at this price don't usually have a decent one anyway. The fresh paint, fairly new carpet, and seemingly remodeled bathroom made the inside look good. It was extremely clean and the people were very friendly. Don't let the exterior fool you. Small motels often have older buildings.

I used to find this place scary and run down, and didn't even like driving past it. It's changed so much since before COVID. The owner was very nice when I came in after a miserable day at work; it was raining, and I decided to stay. The room was clean, and the remodeling was done really nicely. The owner is trying to keep drug traffic out, and I think people should be glad about that. It feels safer now, and I felt okay staying there. I bet the town is glad these owners cleaned it up and don't want riff raff. No “visitors” needed.

I'm a disabled veteran with a service dog to help with my disability. I checked in for a few nights, but after the first night the owner banged on my door and told me to check out. I explained that service dogs are allowed in any business I'm allowed in, even a motel that doesn't accept dogs, but he didn't care and forced me out despite knowing the situation. He had charged a $50 security deposit at check-in and then tried to keep it. I got it back only because I flat out refused to leave the property until he handed it over. The owner isn't from here, and his actions toward me reflected that.
