Ethan checked me in and was helpful, even though I’d been driving for a while and wasn’t at my best. He helped sort out why I couldn’t get into my Bonvoy account online and made sure I still got my points. The hotel sits downtown in Corvallis, OR, on the west bank of the Willamette river, surrounded by historic buildings and a lively nightlife. The riverside room view is exceptional, and the hotel itself feels sleek and stylish. My room was comfortable, inviting, clean, and well lit. The design made me feel at ease, the bed was very easy to sleep in, and hot water came quickly. It’s clear they prioritize maintenance. Guest areas can only be reached from the elevator with a keycard, which made the security feel excellent. The facilities include the usual things plus an outdoor firepit and smoking area on the fourth floor. There’s an onsite bistro, plenty of other nearby restaurants, and free onsite parking, a real plus downtown. The bistro menu is limited, but there are great restaurants and cafés just a block or two away, so it wasn’t really an issue.

I’ve been back to the Courtyard in Corvallis many times, and every stay has been wonderful. The dine-in choices are a real bonus when you want to relax. It’s also in a fantastic spot, close to excellent restaurants and lovely parks such as Symphony and Riverside.

We had a good room looking out at the Willamette River, and the service was good too. The beds were comfortable. Parking did sting a bit, though, and the room rate was pretty high.

I’m adding another glowing note after our stay four months later. The hotel’s location is hard to beat, with amazing bakeries and restaurants an easy walk away. The rooms are nice, and there are Starbucks specialty coffees in the lobby. It’s a lovely room in a hotel with stellar staff, everyone so kind and welcoming. We’ll be making Corvallis our permanent home next year, and our experiences at this wonderful hotel were among the many sweet things that contributed to that decision.
