Comfort Suites Cottage Grove – Madison

My son and I had car trouble just as we were nearly at the hotel. Check-in at midnight was great. In the morning, receptionist Yvonne went above and beyond: she gave us a late checkout and told us to let her know if we needed more time while we waited for our ride.

The hotel was clean and fairly comfortable, but the help we got was disappointing. No one was at the desk when we arrived, and there wasn't a number left to call. There was a wedding that night, so I tried to be understanding. If you're a light sleeper, ask for a room on the side away from the restaurant strip mall. The music from Mr Queso was blaring until 2 AM. I called the desk because I wasn't sure if it was coming from a nearby room or the restaurant. The clerk dismissed my concern, assumed it was the restaurant, and said nothing could be done without looking into it.

A great spot close to the highway and food options. It was my first time here, and the room had an open layout with everything needed to be comfortable. The place was clean, surprisingly quiet, and had updated amenities.

We booked rooms here for our wedding group and appreciated how easy it was to communicate with the manager and staff. The shuttle made it convenient for guests to get to our venue on the wedding day. We heard the rooms were great, and everyone was kind. They also made sure to hand out the gift bags we'd prepared for our guests.
