The boat slip on the Portage River was included at no charge, easy to use, and well maintained. The fish cleaning station was spotless, and staff were available whenever needed. I spent four nights at the White Caps Motel while fishing Lake Erie, and the clean rooms and accommodating staff made the whole stay much better than I expected. I’ll definitely be back.

I won’t stay here again. The rooms are tiny and poorly maintained, and this place feels very low budget. The owner, Dawn, is mean and keeps changing what she says from one day to the next, which makes her very difficult to deal with. The fish cleaning station is a disaster too. You have to put your mains in a bag she got from Walmart, then try to fit it into a freezer that’s completely full. Fishermen should look elsewhere. There are better places out there.

A good place to stay when fishing Erie, with reasonable prices and easy people to work with. The room gets cleaned every day, and the new fish cleaning station is a great addition.

We had a private room facing the Portabe access parking lot, and there were outdoor tables too. It’s an old style motel, neat and clean, with reasonable rates and a comfy King size bed. I’d stay here any time.

The owner was really friendly when we checked in, and the room was very clean and modernized. The price was quite reasonable for peak season. We only stayed on night, but we’ll be back.
