Westgate Inn

We just spent two nights here as a family. The rooms were spacious and clean, and our bed was so comfortable. The staff were welcoming and accommodating. We’ll definitely stay again and recommend it to others.

The location was great, check-in was easy and available 24 hours, and it seemed pretty clean. But the place is extremely outdated. There were stains on the carpet and commode, and the bed felt like it had an old mattress. Some ceiling panels were missing in the hallway, with a plastic bucket on the floor that I guess was catching water from a leak. There were only three pillows on the king bed, and breakfast was nothing but prepackaged food. It could definitely use some TLC. Even adding a fourth pillow would go a long way.

The lobby and main building had a surprisingly nice interior, and the staff were all pleasant. There was supposedly a cat, but sadly I never saw it. It just wasn’t around when I was, haha. Our room was a bit of a wreck, with a broken section of the headboard and big holes in the curtains, though that didn’t bother me much. Things were mostly clean, but a few sheets had cat hair and some towels had odd stains. No bugs or strange smells, and the bathroom was clean. The water got hot and the heat worked fine. It’s a mildly run down, hole in the wall kind of place, which makes sense for the region. Still, I had a pleasant visit.

The beds were comfortable, the heat and AC worked well, and there’s a little stream behind the place that I really enjoyed. Sheetz is two minutes down the block. Everyone was nice, and there’s a cute cat named pumpkin who was my favorite part. They accept pets up to 30 lbs. We don’t smoke, but had a pet, so unfortunately we were put in a smoking room. It was really smelly, though I guess that’s expected. Still a very nice place. Thank you!
