Best Western Far Rockaway Inn

We had lots of food options nearby, and watched plenty of good movies on the big TV. The bed was super comfy, and the bathroom was clean with nice-smelling shampoo and conditioner. The room was nice and clean too, except for the carpet, which was very dirty and had several stains. The neighborhood didn't feel safe at night.

There are only about 15 spaces in front of the building, so parking is a nightmare. Otherwise you need street parking or a paid lot next door. The hotel looks very nice inside, and our room was clean, roomy, and pleasant. It had a mini-fridge, but ours didn't work, and there was no microwave, which was really annoying. The front desk service needs work. The young women there were nice, but very unprofessional, taking cell calls while helping guests and speaking loudly. Our room was closest to the desk, so we heard it. I was also concerned about security when my mother's key stopped working. She told the young woman at the desk, who didn't ask her name or for any ID. The breakfast attendant, on the other hand, was pleasant and hardworking.

The place was clean and comfortable, with a decent free breakfast, and the front desk attendant was very pleasant. The rooms are small, but that's New York. It's a newer hotel, about two months old as I write this, so they're still sorting out a few things, nothing major. It's farther from the airport than I'd have liked, but that doesn't reflect on the hotel itself. I'd stay again.

The room was updated and the bathroom was really nice and clean. It was tiny, but I only needed it to sleep in. I stayed four nights and didn't see a single bug. The free Wi-Fi and direct TV had all the channels, and there was free parking. The desk staff kept an eye on my car, brought extra towels within minutes, and were very friendly. There's also coffee and tea for free, a microwave for heating soup, and a nice electric fireplace in the meeting area. My only complaint was the pot smell at the entrance. Some hotels smell like cigarettes, some like pot. The area's under construction and looks like it's being cleaned up. It's close enough to the airport, and the price was amazing, under $100 a night. I'd stay again. It's a steal.
