La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Times Square South

We stayed at the La Quinta inn 38th Street from 1/7 thru 1/10. The room was adequate, as was the location, and the breakfast room was small but okay. The shower was the one problem. In my opinion, its door was installed backwards and opened against the controls. To turn the water on, you had to squeeze up against them and risk being blasted with extremely cold or hot water before adjusting the temperature. I’d consider staying again if the shower door were redesigned and installed to make the controls easier to reach.

The room was bigger than we expected, and the hotel was clean. It’s a really nice mid-range place, within walking distance of many Midtown attractions and easy to reach from subway stops. Staff and service were attentive and helpful. Breakfast was a bit skimpy, served in a small basement room, but they made a good effort to provide it. There are plenty of other breakfast options nearby. We’d stay again and recommend it to others.

I had no complaints about my one-night stay in a king bed premier room. The bathroom was modern and probably the nicest I’ve had in a hotel, and the room was clean and comfortable. It’s within walking distance of the train station and plenty of attractions. Service was polite and attentive. I highly recommend it.

The staff were super nice, the place felt safe and secure, and it was reasonably priced for how clean and nice it was. They even upgraded our room for free when I asked at check-in. We were in NYC to see a show on 45th, and the venue was only a 10-minute walk away. If you’re coming for a show, stop looking and book here.
