voco Fiorello - LaGuardia Airport by IHG

The room was clean and comfortable, and the whole hotel seemed very clean. I liked the cute airplane and travel theme, which makes sense since it’s kinda close to LGA. The view from our room wasn’t great, but we weren’t planning to spend much time there anyway. There seemed to be plenty to do on site, including restaurants and a rooftop bar, though we didn’t get to try them this time. The front desk agents were ALL AWESOME, friendly and super helpful. It was refreshing to deal with happy workers. Parking worked well for us: it’s $1 an hour if you get your ticket validated at the front desk, which was handy since we were coming and going a lot. I think I got a good rate when I booked, though I’m not sure what the rooms usually cost. I’d definitely stay here again.

I usually choose Marriott or Hilton because I have high status with both, so I didn’t expect much from an IHG property. This stay was a really pleasant surprise. Andrew at the front desk deserves a shout out. He’s professional, courteous, always friendly, and so focused on making sure guests are satisfied that you’d think he owned the place. He’s very accommodating, too. That guy deserves a raise!

There isn’t much around this hotel, but there’s a Bodega on the corner with a deli, good coffee, and single beers for $3, which is a tremendous deal. My room was nice, and they replenished the two water bottles every morning. It’s a good bang for the buck in an odd area.

Andrew really made my birthday stay. I told him it was my birthday, and he was genuinely kind and hospitable, funny, and great at his job. Even with a packed night, he took the time to help me find a room I loved. I’d booked ahead, but I arrived late on an extremely busy night and found out my room had been given away. I was really disappointed. Andrew offered several options, showed me four rooms, and personally walked me to three of them. I absolutely loved the king suite with a couch once I got settled in. It was spacious, and I really liked the design. The location isn’t my favorite, but the staff more than make up for it, especially him. The whole experience honestly warmed my heart. 11/10, I’d recommend the hotel just because of Andrew.
