Vybe Hotel

For a quick, comfortable stay, this place worked perfectly for our 24-hour trip to NY. The rate was affordable and covered our basic needs. The bed was clean, the shower got hot, and the bathroom was a decent size. The personal AC was great and had a remote, and there was a fridge and well-sized mirrors. Breakfast runs from 7-9am, though we slept through it.

The rooms were clean, spacious, and everything was in order. The staff were courteous and wonderful, and the location in the Bronx was perfect for our Valentine's weekend getaway. My husband and I felt our money was well spent. This is the best place I've stayed so far in New York, and I'd come back and recommend it for families too. ❤️❤️

I asked for two nights at check-in but was given just one, for over $300, and told to leave by 11am the next day. The room was tiny, with the window open when I arrived. The AC was loud and couldn't cool it to the temperature I wanted, and doors kept slamming while people gathered and yelled in the hallway all night. There were fingerprints, forehead marks, and other smudges on the windows, holes in the walls, and gashes in the paintings. The whole place smelled like marijuana even though the room was supposed to be non-smoking. I'd avoid it if you can.

My confirmation email said I could check in at midnight, but at the hotel they told me I had to wait until 2 the next day. Even though I'd prepaid and had a reservation, they said I could pay another $250 to get a room that night. The front desk staff were extremely rude and no help. The place was filthy, with handprints on the walls and ceiling and stains and holes in the blankets. It reeked of weed and mildew. The walls were paper thin, and people argued and screamed at the top of their lungs and slammed doors.
