Riverside Tower Hotel

My room was tiny, but that was fine by me since it's NYC and I only needed somewhere to sleep. I loved the stay. The room had been renovated and was extremely clean and comfortable, and the neighborhood felt safe and was very good. For the price, it felt like an absolute steal. I think the hotel's very low rating comes from comments and ratings that are around 10 years old. I was there for two days. I've attached a picture of the view from my room.

The rooms were standard and comfortable enough as a base while I was in the city. Service and location were both strong points, so everything felt smooth and convenient. I'd consider staying again.

Everything seemed clean, and there were enough towels. The room had the basics too, including shampoo, conditioner, and hand soap. It was tiny, though, and there was no breakfast. Wi-Fi didn't reach the room and wasn't working in the lobby either. The hotel was decent for what you expect at NYC prices. What you're mostly paying for is the location: a nice Manhattan neighborhood close to Central Park. Service was okay, neither especially kind nor rude, and about what you'd expect from the city's famously hostile service style. The ladies working during the day were a lovely exception, exceptionally kind and pleasant.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and we had great river views from the room. It was easy to get around to Manhattan's main attractions, with a subway station three blocks away. The area wasn't busy with traffic, so it was easy to rest. The rooms are pretty small, though, and even two people can feel cramped.
