La Quinta Inn and Suites by Wyndham Long Island City

The room felt warm and quaint, and I was surprised by the Samsung television's options: HBO, Netflix, and live channels. What stood out most, though, was the front desk crew. They were hospitable, professional, and energetic about helping with my requests, including arranging a very courteous late checkout when unforeseen circumstances came up. This is the most respectable place in the neighborhood, and I'd recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

I stayed for two weeks on a work trip, and both the lobby and room were clean. The staff were super friendly and helpful, especially the managers, Mohammad and Dacks. They went above and beyond to help extend my stay, which I really appreciated. The location is handy for getting into the city, with the train about a 10-minute walk away. The community members were nice, and I tried some local restaurants that became favorites. I'd recommend it for a clean, affordable stay in NYC with a convenient location.

Simple, good value, and I'd stay again. It's NY, the city really doesn't sleep, so you do hear city sounds. I liked being able to commute in and then come back away from the chaos. The staff were kind and accommodating. Raul was especially great whenever I needed help, including with fresh cookies, housekeeping, and the television.

I came back to NYC for my yearly visit with friends, as I've done around the same time each year since leaving three years ago. I planned six days and five nights here, but a snowstorm let me change my flight for free, so I added another three days and two nights. There were other hotels nearby I could have walked to, but I was happy to stay on. The front desk staff I spoke with were all great and took care of my requests. They delivered the fridge I asked for within a few hours of check-in. Over my nine days, I requested vacuuming, fresh sheets and towels, and wiped-down surfaces three times, and the room was thoroughly handled each time. I also appreciated being lent a shovel to dig my car out after the storm. Parking can be somewhat hard to find if you rent a car. I lived in NYC for a couple of years, so that wasn't new to me, and I don't blame the hotel for it. Just a heads-up. A major subway line is a 10-minute walk away for trips to the other boroughs. I'll book here again next year if my dates are available. I appreciated the front desk staff being there for my questions and requests.
