Yosemite Paradise Inn

The rooms were cozy and clean, and we’d definitely return. Larry and Marylyn, who goes by Lynn, are a very nice couple. We got delayed in traffic after the horsetail falls show in Yosemite, and everything was closed by the time we got out. The cup noodles, snacks, and fruit they’d left in the room kept us going.

We arrived late, and Lynn greeted us after we parked. It was a lovely welcome. In the room there were a few things to eat, including cups of noodles, fresh grapes and blueberries, applesauce, and some healthier cereal options.

We were surprised by how much was available at breakfast. It was continental style, with hard-boiled eggs, croissants, waffles, bagels, avocado, fresh fruit, nuts with yogurt, and more. The hosts were friendly and helped us plan our Yosemite weekend so we could make the most of a short vacation. Our host waited for us when we arrived around midnight, then helped us settle into a spacious, clean, comfortable room. We’d come back, and highly recommend the place.

Once we got onto the property, it looked clean and like a well-running place, with kids around. Before that, the drive felt a little concerning: there’s no cell reception with either Verizon or TMobile, and you pass a lot of rundown houses and businesses that don’t give the best impression. I stayed in the family room, which was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The place had a family-friendly feel, almost like staying in a guest room at my best friend’s house. The kitchen was fully stocked, with an inn fridge and a private fridge. Breakfast was continental, with cereal, toast, ramen, tuna, bananas, apples, coffee, orange juice, muffins, and cheese.
