Comfort Inn & Suites Covington - Mandeville

Watch out for an $8 charge after your stay. I was told it was because a washcloth and hand towel were too dirty with makeup. I've never been charged for something like this anywhere else. If I could post pictures, you could see how ridiculous it was. It feels like a scammy way to get money. The staff were friendly while I was there, the room was clean, and there were complimentary snacks and water. But when I called about the charge, the person at the front desk was rude and said I should have used the makeup wipes. I told her there weren't any. She just repeated that it was their policy and kept saying she uses wipes. I told her I use remover and had used it, which is why the charge shocked me.

This Comfort Suites is handy for restaurants, Walmart, and a movie theater. We keep coming back because the staff are kind, courteous, professional, and accommodating to our specific needs. It's definitely a five-star location for us.

I booked two rooms for three nights, as the receipt shows, then canceled well before the reservation date. I was still charged the full amount, and my card was charged for six individual rooms instead of two. When I went to the property, Jay at reception was disrespectful and no help. He said the property only gives receipts at check-in, so he couldn't give me one. I showed him an electronic copy saying I'd booked just two rooms and explained I had been charged. His response was that they had to charge me for six to secure the funds.

Avoid this place if you care about your belongings. I came from Texas to handle a death in the family and brought back a knife my grandfather had left me after he passed. Someone from maintenance or housekeeping took it from the desk in my room. At the front desk, they wrote down a sticky note, not even a proper complaint form. I was told the GM would be in the next morning between 8 and 9, and nothing else was done. This place is a joke. I wouldn't stay here.
