SpringHill Suites Port St. Lucie

The beds were rock hard, and my husband and I both woke up with bad back pain. Our daughter felt every spring in the sofa bed. That's not what I expect when I hear Marriott. The rooms were clean and well stocked, and they're spacious, with adequate bathrooms and lighting that was dim enough to leave on at night. Breakfast had just one waffle machine, so there was a morning line. I would rather have spent my money somewhere with softer beds.

The Wi-Fi wouldn't work for me. I have an iPhone, and it kept warning me that the network wasn't safe to use. A Marriott should offer secure, reliable Wi-Fi. The elevator smelled like it was burning, and the staircase leaked when it rained and smelled moldy. The front desk people were snarky. My fiancé and I came to visit after my father booked the hotel. Expect a hard bed and a mini fridge that doesn't work. Breakfast was mostly eggs, cheap sausage patty sandwiches that didn't look edible, and bland oatmeal. The coffee was the only thing that seemed consumable. I used to live in St Lucie and had heard mixed reviews. Now I see why it costs so little.

My wife cancelled after learning they didn't accept pets, but I was still charged for a night's stay. The woman I dealt with was rude and acted like I should just accept it. They're dishonest crooks, though I guess they can get away with that when so many people stay there for baseball.

The rooms are comfortable and clean, and the staff are so nice. We were playing cards and wanted coffee, and they brought us a fresh pot about 20 minutes later. Thanks! Great location too. We'll stay here again.
