Holiday Inn Cincinnati-Riverfront by IHG

We found a bed bug crawling on one of the beds during our first stay here. When we told an employee, the only suggestion was to move us two rooms down on the same floor. No refund was offered. At 11 at night we had to pack our things into tightly tied, double trash bags and leave for another hotel, waking our sleeping baby in the snow. I was so worried about bringing bugs home or into the car that I left our suitcase behind. Now we have to wash and dry all our clothes on high heat several times. Please don't make my mistake and skip reading reviews. There are other reviews mentioning bed bugs too. If you need a nice place, the Holiday Inn EXPRESS at 200 crescent avenue is a little farther down the road. Its facilities are nicer, breakfast is included, and the staff are wonderful. We've stayed there many times without a problem. Seriously, don't stay here.

The staff worked day and night to get guests into their rooms and keep everyone updated when the key cards were having technical problems during our stay for the bengals game. People were understandably frustrated, but the team handled things politely and explained what was happening. They kept helping guests despite all the stress, and made the place feel friendly. Thank you for your patience and hard work. We'll be back. The hotel was clean, the beds were comfy, and it's a great location for games.

We had a wonderful stay, and the staff we met were really nice and helpful. After we'd unpacked, we realized the TV wasn't working properly. Clare moved us to the room next door so we wouldn't miss football, and brought over an extra blanket warmed up for us. There were plenty of breakfast options. The cinnamon roll and sausage were the best picks, though I'd skip the scrambled eggs.

The hotel bar was closed much earlier than its posted hours. The bartender said 9:30, but it was shut by 8:45. There was no free breakfast either. The room was clean, though the bathroom mirror wasn't, and the shower pressure was amazing, easily the best part of the stay. The hallways felt like an old, unrenovated hotel and got loud while housekeeping was going through. The area felt a bit rough to me. Having a White Castle next door was cool, but I wouldn't stay here again.
