Travelers Inn & Suites

There was a needle in the bed and drug paraphernalia scattered around the room. I asked for it to be cleaned, but when I came back they'd given my room away. I wish I could post photos. This place should be condemned, and the front desk guy was incompetent. Stay away.

I felt very unsafe here. The carpet was filthy, the room smelled like smoke, and they charged me more when I checked in. They said pets weren't allowed, yet I saw several guests bringing pets into rooms. Worst motel I've stayed in. I'd give zero stars if I could.

We had decent AC, hot water for showers, and friendly staff who gave us enough towels and toilet paper for the night. That's about where the positives ended. The online photos didn't reflect what we found: food under the bed, crusty stuff stuck to the bedding, bugs on the bathroom floor, cigarette burns on pillowcases, stains on the shower curtain, and a remote wedged between the mattress. There were holes in the wall, no smoke detectors, and the toilet seat didn't fit the toilet. The carpet was full of dirt and debris, like it hadn't been vacuumed or prepared for new guests. There were also unsavory people sleeping in cars on the property. Coffee in the lobby seemed about a week old, and there was no breakfast, though that was okay. I was so disgusted I was afraid to take pictures, but we ended up laughing at the state of the place. I'd never stay here again.

It's a relaxed place with a genuine, wholesome feel, and it's my favorite hotel in Craig. The service is moderate, but the people are kind and happy to help with whatever you need. It's not the Hilton, but the hospitality means more to me than what most hotels offer. Give them a chance, the vibe might leave you speechless.
