The location worked well, with plenty nearby, and the lobby, pool area, and most of the room were clean. There was one really sticky patch of carpet beside the bed, though. My bigger problem was what happened when housekeeping came in. I’d agreed when they asked as I was leaving for breakfast, so that part was on me, but they didn’t restock anything, take out trash, or remove used towels. My shower products were gone, including L’Occitane shower oil and Matrix shampoo and conditioners. Guest services wouldn’t connect me with housekeeping because their system showed nobody had entered my room. I asked for a manager and was told they weren’t available, then requested a call and never got one. Usually this kind of thing wouldn’t bother me much, but those products cost about half the room price, and no one would help sort it out. I’m upset about the dishonesty and the lack of even trying to reach whoever was working housekeeping on that floor.

We’ve stayed here several times, but the cleaning has slipped enough that we may choose somewhere else next time. The room carpet hadn’t been vacuumed before we arrived, the body wash dispenser was empty, and we had to ask the front desk for towels on two consecutive days. Public carpeted areas also needed more regular vacuuming. On arrival, the elevator floor was sticky from a spilled drink, with trash left there until our second full day. The hotel is handy to 79 and the turnpike, with plenty of parking in front and behind. Our quiet room at the end of the fifth floor made for good sleep, and we heard nothing from other rooms. Twice, our key wouldn’t open the back entrance after parking there, so we had to walk around the side and let the front desk know. Daily cleaning would make a real difference.

The location is great, but the rooms were a real letdown. In the first one, the shower curtain was dirty and moldy, and there were crumbs and toenail clippings on the floor. We asked to switch rooms, but the next one had similar cleanliness problems and didn’t feel any better. The staff were polite and tried to assist, yet housekeeping clearly needs to improve. It’s a shame, especially since the hotel isn’t that old. I wouldn’t stay again or recommend it.

We had booked two rooms for an overnight stop on our drive from Toronto to Florida, before a Caribbean cruise, and check-in and checkout both went smoothly. The front desk gentleman, whose name I unfortunately forgot, was warm and welcoming, and the reception was quick, friendly, and professional. We appreciated the free parking and breakfast, along with tea and coffee available throughout the day. It’s right off the highway and convenient to lots of restaurants. A comfortable, easy stop for us, and I’d happily come back or recommend it for a short stay in the area.
