Candlewood Suites Pittsburgh Cranberry by IHG

I booked using my company CLC card, and the front desk representative said he needed a card on file for incidentals. I explained that CLC covered it, but he called me a liar and kept arguing. I told him I didn’t have a credit card, and he said he would cancel my room. I needed somewhere to stay and had nowhere else to go. He told me to calm down and apologize or he’d cancel it, then said I had no room there and threatened to call the police if I didn’t leave. I stayed and called my boss. When I asked again about the room, he said I’d get it if I apologized. I finally said I was sorry for something I hadn’t done, and he replied, “Was that so bad?” He then advised me to keep my mouth shut while waiting or he’d kick me out, and said some people won’t take my nonsense. I was treated terribly. I never got an email from the owner, only an attempt to offer 5,000 points, which doesn’t come close to addressing what should have been done.

Jaymes went above and beyond to make my recent stay great, and the rest of the staff were wonderful too. I’d definitely recommend this hotel!

We’ve been here for two months while our new home in Pittsburgh is being built, and it really has become our home away from home. Our one-bedroom suite is nearly 800 square feet, roomy for the two of us and very comfortable. Even when the hotel is busy, it stays quiet. The staff are friendly and accommodating, and housekeeping keeps the room tidy. Having a free laundry room has been especially useful during this extended stay. Restaurants and grocery stores are nearby, as are the PA turnpike and local expressways. Our manager, Joe, has answered almost every request with a smile and, “Of course, this is your home!” We couldn’t ask for more, and hope others come visit.

Car trouble meant we had to add another day, and the staff made the extension easy. The room was spacious and clean, and the housekeeper made sure we had what we needed to be comfortable that extra day. I was always greeted with a smile. There’s no breakfast at the hotel, but plenty of food options are within five miles, with some restaurants walkable despite the heavy traffic. I highly recommend staying here. Thank you!
