Quality Inn Cranberry Township

I ended up sleeping in my car because the room at the Cranberry location was so disgusting. The photos didn’t match what I got: stains on the floor, bathroom, and sheets, including one that looked like poop. Recently I accidentally booked this place instead of Clarion Inn. As soon as I caught the mistake, I called to cancel. They said they couldn’t refund my $300 because I hadn’t checked in and my reason wasn’t good enough. I don’t see why someone should have to drive all the way to a hotel they won’t stay at just to tell them so. Maybe they needed the money that badly. There’s another hotel down the road for about the same price, with a much better atmosphere, cleaner rooms, better TVs, and a real breakfast. Don’t waste your money here.

I drive trucks out of San Francisco and stay in lots of hotels. I checked in around 1 a.m. last Friday, and the front desk treated me with full respect. I didn’t care for the first room, but the staff member promptly got me another one without any fuss. He was professional and kind. I really appreciated the service. Named by Wansh

I checked in around 9 p.m. on 11-15 and couldn’t get any heat, even after trying the thermostat. The front desk person said he’d come see whether it needed fixing. He arrived quickly, but I didn’t know another employee was waiting outside with a space heater. After a brief look, he opened the door and took the heater from that employee. The temperature kept going up and down all night, and I slept terribly. I felt the hotel owed me some consideration and told two employees so. They said they had to contact the manager and would call if he approved, but I never heard back. When I asked about moving rooms, I was told, “We’re full. None are available.” Really? That felt like a lie and plain mismanagement. I understand Pennsylvania restricts space heaters in licensed hotels. Maybe this hotel isn’t licensed, but they seemed to know how to flout the rules instead of giving customers adequate heat or following the regulations.

The front desk staff were courteous, which is the reason this gets two stars. During my five-day stay I asked for a decent, clean room, but dealt with bugs, a clogged bathtub drain, and damaged toilet seats. It took three tries before I got a room I could accept. The property felt like a total dump. I won’t go back to quality inn.
