Wingate by Wyndham Cranberry

Getting out at 11 was quick and easy, and the staff we met Friday night and Saturday morning were friendly throughout the dining room, housekeeping, and front desk. We stayed in a clean, upgraded room in A building, with a heavenly bed and pillows. The hot tub and indoor pool were working, and towels were available. The fitness area had a treadmill, stationary bike, scale, resistance pulleys, free weights, and a balance base, plus a shower. Breakfast was hot and had plenty to choose from: oven-baked seasoned potatoes, sausage links, scrambled eggs, waffles, muffins, oatmeal, sausage gravy, yogurt, juice, coffee, and assorted tea. I’d recommend it to anyone traveling on the turnpike or highways 79, 19, and nearby routes.

We needed a place near medical appointments, and this little gem was only a few miles from all the offices. There are lots of places to eat nearby, and the hotel is across from the mall. Our room was spotless and nicely equipped. The bed was wonderful, and I want those pillows! The hot tub was quiet and relaxing. Every time we walked past the front desk, a different staff member was there, and each one was professional and polite, wished us a pleasant stay, and asked if they could help. Breakfast had a good mix of hot and cold choices, so we could get some energy before our appointments. We’d definitely stay again.

Everyone was lovely, including the other guests, and we had a nice stay. The pool was fun and breakfast was good. The jacuzzi could be a little bigger since everyone is allowed in. While my husband and I were in it, some children tried to get in and we felt a bit uncomfortable. It was okay, though. We got out so they could enjoy it.

The hotel is spotless, the staff are friendly, and it’s good value. The location worked well for our family visit, and we’ll probably stay here again next time. Beds are huge and soft, and the coffee was unlimited throughout our stay. Breakfast isn’t cordon bleu, but it set us up for the day and would save you at least $40 a day. It’s a little dated, and it’s not five-star luxury, but it doesn’t pretend to be the Burj Al Arab. I also liked being able to check in and out online.
