I spent all day checking out new runs, and there’s a great mix here: long, mellow greens, steeper blues, extreme terrain, and a few terrain parks. It’s a great mountain for skiers and snowboarders at every level, and the lift staff I came across were all friendly and welcoming. Parking was the one hassle. It was hard to find information online, and the signs weren’t good, but I eventually located the free lot on Snowmass rd!

We had a really fun Christmas 2025 trip and the people were good. The location worked well, and we’ll definitely come back someday, hopefully with more snow. Most runs were good, but bushwaker was a rough blue with a lot of bad spots. International was the best, a well-maintained black.
The mountain views at Ten Peaks are hard to beat, and we think it’s one of the best wedding venues in Crested Butte. As wedding photographers, we can’t recommend it enough for a ceremony.
A friend recommended this place, though it’s a little off our usual route. We spent two days here the week of Christmas, but the weather didn’t cooperate. The staff were very friendly, and the smaller scale meant there weren’t high-end resort crowds. We’ll definitely return when conditions are in full season so we can try the different terrain across all levels.
The skiing, terrain, and instructors are all great. My concern is the lack of safety management and control by the resort’s mountain operations, especially the excessive speeds near the bottom of the hill. I didn’t see guest services or patrol regulating this. There are slow signs, but if that’s the extent of the safety management, someone could get hurt or killed. It gives the impression that mountain culture disregards safety completely. Also, many lift operators away from the base, though not all, are on their phones, sitting, or not paying attention. I’ve visited for a week each year over the last five years, and this is what I’ve experienced during the last two, including just last week.
