Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Crestview

We had to ask staff to let us in each time because the key card readers were down. The young blond man at check-in said they'd been out since that morning and he wasn't sure when they'd be working again. When I asked more, it turned out this had already been going on for five days, and the website hadn't mentioned it. Very inconvenient. Just be straight with guests about what's happening.

Breakfast had plenty of options, though it was the usual sort, and there were lots of places to eat nearby if you're willing to drive. We stayed one evening; the hotel smelled nice, and our room was comfortable and clean. We'd stay again.

My guest was in Crestview for a Quinceañera, and I'd booked and paid for her room the night before. At check-in she was told no rooms were available, and the staff member cut off my Hispanic guest in a rude tone. She called me upset, so I sent her the Fairfield confirmation text. After two calls with Jolene, I was texted the direct number for the Crestview front desk. I asked about my guest, who was still waiting after being told there was no room. Jaime(sp) said one would be available at 2:00 pm. I also asked about the rudeness toward my Quinceañera guest, which she denied. There are people who get paid to be in the lodging business and people who pay for the service. Please remember your responsibility to the latter. Get people's names, as I did! Tjordan

The room was clean, though the beds were basic. I've stayed here twice, and my first visit went much better. On the latest stay, the woman at the front desk was pretty rude and suggested I was poor, which was strange since the opposite was true.
