Biddeford Motel

The room was filthy, with dirt all over the walls, doors, and floor. It was also 62 degrees, and there was no way to adjust the rusted baseboard heater. There was a hole in the back of the door that looked like it came from a fist. We paid $169. There are better hotels nearby, including Cape Porpoise Motel and Kennebunkport Motor Lodge, which cost less. After spending the night here, I felt like I’d been staying at a Hilton. Keep driving, you’d be better off sleeping in your car at the Walmart.

For basic amenities, the price seemed a bit above average. The pillow setup also made me question the sanitation: the fresh pillowcases were touching a comforter that looked like it rarely gets washed. If you stay, flip the pillow before you put your head down.

Good prices, and it doesn’t feel touristy. I loved staying here. It’s a simple place in a simple location. The only downside was smoke from people next door smoking weed. It came into our bathroom, and I didn’t want to tattle or risk being fined for something I wasn’t doing.

They include a full hot breakfast, and I found the lobby fridge stocked with salads and snacks for sale really convenient. It’s a pet friendly hotel, with staff who were friendly and helpful.
