Best Western Acadia Hotel

Our room key wouldn't work that night, so I had to go back downstairs to get it sorted out. They also threatened to call the police even though we weren't making any noise.

The breakfast was cold and had no flavor, and there weren't any luggage carts. Management kept the AC off until we arrived, so it took 6-8 hours for the room to get even moderately cool. The manager apologized, but it didn't feel sincere.

Jennifer at the front desk was polite and professional, and deserves all the stars. My room, #114, was a disappointment, though. The tub hadn't been cleaned, there was dirt and soap scum on the shower walls, and the AC filters were filthy. I've stayed at other Best Westerns and big chains, and expected better cleanliness here. Owners, the cleaning crew needs to take more care of your investment.

The king room had plenty of space and a nice desk, office chair, ottoman, chair, and large TV. The bed was especially comfortable, soft without being too soft, and the room was fairly clean. The bathroom was okay, although the tub drained a little slowly during a shower. I mentioned a couple of issues in the public areas to the front desk, who wrote them down. I might stay again.
