Super 8 by Wyndham Crystal Lake

I've had a great stay here over the past couple of weeks while getting work done on my house. This was my first time at a Super 8 Motel, and I'd gladly return. My accessible room was spacious and very clean, with a comfortable queen bed, lots of pillows, a chair for watching TV, a desk and chair, fridge, microwave, plenty of lights, and a big window you can open. The bathroom was roomy and spotless. Comcast TV has tons of channels, and WiFi is free. Housekeeping comes every day unless you put out the sign saying service isn't needed. They make the bed, change the sheets, leave fresh towels and washcloths, take out the garbage, and sweep. They do a great job. The lobby is clean too, with staff mopping the halls and floors during the day. There's a guest computer, laundry on site, a free local newspaper each day, and an ATM. Someone is at the front desk 24/7. Sam, the hotel Manager, has been wonderful whenever I've needed help. He really understands customer service and makes sure guests are looked after. The other staff have been helpful too. Breakfast is good, with Honey Buns, fruit cups, yogurt, Raise Bran and Frosted Flakes, plus coffee, tea, milk, and orange juice every day. They're planning to bring back waffles and bagels. McDonald's is right next door, less than a minute on foot or about ten seconds by car. There are lots of restaurants along Route 14, about a mile away in either direction, and vending machines for late-night snacks or drinks. The price is reasonable. It's a one-floor hotel with several entrances, so you don't need to walk through the building to reach your room. Pets are allowed if you have a dog. I have nothing bad to say about my experience and recommend the place. Thanks, Sam and staff, for making the stay so pleasant!
