I had a minor billing mix-up, but they fixed it right away. Check-in and check-out were quick and easy, and the staff were polite. My room was clean and the rate was very reasonable. The hotel is about a quarter mile off exit 28 on I-86, set lower and back from the highway, so there was very little traffic noise. It’s in Cuba, NY, in the Southern Tier, and I stayed briefly while visiting family. They have a continental breakfast in the morning. I’d stay here again if I’m in the area.

The rooms are great and clean, and every staff member is friendly and helpful. The people running this place go way out of their way to help and make you feel at home. I’ve seen them go above and beyond for people. It’s right off the highway, and they made me feel at home away from home. If I were spending my money again, I’d spend it here. Thanks, y’all. I’d give more stars if I could.

We left first thing the next morning. They wouldn’t refund the remaining two nights, but we needed to get out of there ASAP. The first room smelled like dead fish, so we asked to switch. The guy seemed bothered, but gave us another room that smelled better, though still not good. The bathroom door and AC unit were broken, and breakfast had no waffle maker as advertised. At check-in, the guy had been smoking outside, and when he came in he was very unprofessional.

The improvements they’re making inside and out are phenomenal. This little hotel has some of the most hospitable staff and management. I wouldn’t mind traveling if everywhere I stayed felt this nice.
