We were hiking the AT, and the Mountain Home B&B is only steps from the trail. Our hosts made a fantastic breakfast, shared local information and useful recommendations, and did everything they could to make us comfortable. We all slept soundly, too. My friends and I had a great stay, and I highly recommend it to anyone exploring the area or passing through for a few days. Thanks again, Scott & Lisa!
After four days and three nights on the Appalachian Trail, we’d covered over 35 miles. It was a great first hiking trip, and when we got back, the Cabbin was ready for us to clean up and unwind. My father and I spent our first night at this bed and breakfast, then Allison shuttled us to Pinnacle Picnic Area. Scott and Lisa were wonderful hosts. We highly recommend staying here.
The room was spacious and clean, and breakfast was delicious, especially the homemade jams. Jenny and I also loved the historic feel of the house. The hosts welcomed us warmly and are genuinely good people. I’d definitely stay again.

The historic house gives the B&B a charming setting, and Lisa and Scott make the stay feel warm from start to finish. They’re wonderful hosts, with comfortable rooms and delicious breakfasts featuring homemade jams, cider, and hot sauces. It feels like stepping back in time. I can’t wait to come back.
