Wildflower Inn & RV Park

At least this was the cheapest place I could find, and I got a room for what I needed. The bathroom was clean despite apparently having just been used, the shower pressure was good, and the tub wasn't gross. The pool is drained completely, though, so don't expect to swim. I slept a little cold because of the used sheets, and felt uneasy after being told it was a shadier part of town. During Turkey Fest, I got a room at 9 p.m., luckily. Housekeeping hadn't cleaned it yet, despite the 11 a.m. checkout time, so old messy sheets, trash, and dirty towels were still there. Also, check directly with the inn before booking through Expedia, or possibly Booking, since it isn't partnered with them and those reservations are invalid. The woman, I don't know whether she was the owner or an employee, kindly helped me anyway, even after I came in through the side door because the front was locked and woke her with the bell.

The moment I opened the door, I decided not to stay. The room smelled like mothballs and rotting rats. It was disgusting, and the furniture looked like landfill finds, covered in grime and cigarette burns. I left.

We were pleased with the stay. The front desk was pleasant and kept its word about the arrangements over the phone. It's an older place, but everything worked. For $50 a night plus a $15 deposit refunded at checkout, you get a room to rest in, a hot shower, and comfortable beds. You get what you pay for. If you want luxurious accommodation overnight or during the day, drive farther and pay more at a better-known chain. Thanks for the hospitality, sir.

It isn't especially pretty or modern, but the room is spacious and clean, and the owners and employees have been friendly and nice. I can see how some people might pass it over because it's older. For an affordable stay, it's a good spot, and I've added it to my list for future trips.
