Rodeway Inn

The stairway to the first floor has no elevator, and its broken handrail was just lying on top of the supports as if it worked. The building smelled awful, like a herd of skunks had moved in. The rooms were filthy. Carpets weren’t clean, the bathroom floor looked like it hadn’t been mopped since the tiles were laid, and mold and mildew covered the tub area. An unidentifiable yellow substance ran down the bathroom walls. My son and his family’s room had all of that, plus black mold in the refrigerator, mice feces in the drawers and on the bathroom floor, bugs, and holes in the wall. One of my grandchildren had to sleep on that filthy floor. I understand you get what you pay for, but this was far below expectations, at a level of filth I can’t imagine. I don’t even want to think about the germs lurking there. For visitors’ health, I feel this place should be made to clean up or close down.

The pee smell hit us as soon as we walked in. My wife and I barely made it through the door before turning around to find a normal hotel. It was unbelievably filthy. I can’t understand how they get customers, and this place should be shut down.

It stinks, and one night we couldn’t open the door. To top it off, the first room they gave us hadn’t been cleaned!

I’d rather sleep in my work truck.
