Ramada by Wyndham Culver City

At least the place was quiet and clean, and the bed seemed comfortable. The room was very basic: no fridge, microwave, or coffee maker, and no coffee downstairs in the lobby either. There was one bar of soap, nearly empty refillable shampoo containers, and two rolls of toilet paper with hardly anything on them. There was just one wastebasket. The TV guide numbers didn’t reliably match the programs, and the channel numbers seemed to change or not apply consistently. The heater was a big problem for me. It was too hot at first, then too cold after I turned it down a tiny bit. The baldish man at the front desk was somewhat rude and scolded me to stay behind the counter instead of near the side of the desk. He was uptight and short with every question, with no personality for dealing with people. When I asked if there could be coffee in the lobby since there wasn’t a maker in the room, he said, “No, we not going to do that.”

I booked this place for my niece’s stay in Culver City. The clerk demanded a cash deposit before handing over the room key. The room turned out to be handicap accessible, and its window wouldn’t latch. The clerk and owner said it should be fine. A terrible experience.

It's 2:36am, and I've been calling the front desk for 10 mins with no answer. I get that it's a small hotel, but I need someone to knock on the door upstairs and ask them to STOP STOMPING or DRAGGING FURNITURE AROUND. We can hear every movement, and it woke us up. They went out around 10pm after stomping around for ages, and we got some peace until they returned at who knows what time and started marching around again. OMG, send help. I just want to sleep.

I stayed one night and barely used the room. Within an hour of leaving, they tried to charge me $200 over a urine spot on the bed. They put the sheets in the washing machine quickly before I came back, so there was no evidence. The manager is M.I.A. I don’t know how many people they scam this way, but this place isn’t worth the money or the time saved. If I could give them less than one star, I would.
