The Wills Hotel made me feel at home last week. The front desk staff were always welcoming and accommodating, and the place was very clean. It works well for a quick overnight or a longer weekend exploring the Cumberland Downtown Mall and nearby sights. For food and a walk, I liked the blueberry crunch French toast at Cafe Mark, then strolling the mall, tow path, and Canal Place near the Western MD Railroad. Liberty Street General Store is close by for deli sandwiches and snacks, and its store dog Fiona is an adorable yellow lab. The 1867 Chophouse wasn’t open during my stay, but I’m sure it’s delicious. Jin's carry out is handy late at night.
