A comfortable old-fashioned motel in a great spot for a quiet night. The bed was very comfortable, and having a kitchenette was nice. It doesn’t have all the modern hotel comforts, though, and the bathrooms could use an update.

Came back for a second stay. The cabins are comfortable, and the setting is quiet with a great view.
Danielle, who takes care of the rooms, was really friendly and helpful, and the owners were too. We enjoyed our stay and found the unit comfortable, even though it isn’t a five-star place. We were surprised there was no AC, since we’re from the South and aren’t used to going without it. It took about two hours to cool the unit down, and I wish the windows had been left open before we arrived 😞.
Easy to find and very convenient. The cabin had a nice shower, a window that opens, a fridge, coffee pot, floor fan, recliner, and TV. Outside, there’s a pleasant sitting spot on the grass with a lovely view. A relaxing place.
We spent five nights at Calamity Peak Lodge while checking out the sights and activities around Custer. The room was on the small side, but it was clean and well kept. The owners were friendly and quick to help when we needed anything. We slept well on the good mattress and appreciated the clean sheets. We’ll book here again next time we visit Custer.
