Comfort Inn & Suites Cuyahoga Falls - Akron

We were here for my niece's wedding, and the location worked perfectly. The place was clean, quiet, and comfortable, and the staff made us feel welcome. We didn't eat breakfast, but the options looked decent: yogurt, bagels, biscuits, scrambled eggs, sausage links, waffles, and hard boiled eggs. The pool was full of kids having a great time, and there's a small gym too. Our room had a mini fridge, hairdryer, and iron with an ironing board. There wasn't an in-room safe. We'd definitely stay again on our next visit.

We were grateful for the early check-in and for how kind and considerate the staff were. Mrs. Mel, who served breakfast, was especially pleasant and helpful, as was Kristal at the front deak. The facility, including our room and the common areas, was immaculate, and our two queen beds were comfortable. There were just two of us, so we used one bed for our suitcases. There wasn't much room to put personal things away. The bathroom had no towel racks, only grab bars, and the closet was small. We had just two little cubbies and a couple of hooks for coats. My aunt's "handicapped suite" was on the first floor and had a shower chair in the tub. Otherwise, her bathroom was like ours. The horizontal grab bars and the tub floor being higher than the tub made it hard for her to get in and out. During our three-night stay, she managed to shower only once. The staff weren't the problem at all.

There are plenty of nearby places to spend money, and gas around here was oddly cheap, with BJS warehouse close by. The building is old, though most areas were reasonably maintained and clean. Our bathtub wouldn't drain, and the washing machine was so dirty I couldn't do laundry. There's no recycling, and the trash cans make it hard to throw things away, with either a very stiff swinging door or a tiny opening. Breakfast was the same each day, basic and nothing special. The other customers looked pretty rough to me, with tattoos and alternative clothes. Maybe the competitive price and reviews that seem better than deserved explain that.

For the price, we had a great stay, with a clean and comfortable room. The evening desk woman was eager to help and very kind. The breakfast attendants were warm, kept the food quality up, and refilled things quickly.
