The staff made us feel right at home, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. We came to Barefoot Hills Hotel for our anniversary and were pleasantly surprised by this hidden jewel, high up on the mountain with an amazing view. The customer service was excellent. We’ll definitely return and recommend it to anyone.

I slept amazingly well here. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the pillows were great. Barefoot Hills Hotel is also a gorgeous property, with string lights, a swing bench, and a hammock. It’s a couple of minutes off the main road, which made the stay feel even more peaceful to me, with no cars, lights, or noise. It’s ideally located for area hiking trails, and I’d strongly consider staying here again on another trip to northern Georgia.

The mountain scenery was beautiful, and our rooms were clean, nice, and roomy. I brought my parents to Dahlonega to see the Christmas lights and booked two rooms at Barefoot Hills Hotel after reading the good reviews. Jamie at the front desk was kind and helpful. We look forward to another stay.

We had an amazing horseback ride, arranged for us by the very helpful and courteous staff. The horses were well cared for, and the people at the stable were knowledgeable and easygoing. The location itself is lovely and quiet, set back from the road, which isn’t a busy one anyway. The view from the back deck is beautiful. Can’t wait to come back!

The claw-foot tubs are marvelous, and the views are incredible. It’s also dog friendly, which can be hard to find in this beautiful but isolated area. I’d stay here again if I’m ever nearby.
