I ended up staying here for a year and a half, though I never planned to stay that long. Amerigold suites is falling apart. The ceiling in my apartment collapsed, nails stuck up from the floor, and there were gaps at the bottom of the door. Maintenance didn’t come when needed, so sometimes I had to handle things myself. There is security, but I never saw him protect the area. He gets into everyone’s business and shares people’s private matters. I didn’t feel safe, and it seemed like the rules didn’t apply equally to everyone. People slept in the hallways overnight, there was a lot of strange activity, and parking was terrible. I’m not blaming Joanne for every problem, but I do think she needs to retire. The place was mentally draining.

I love living here. It’s one of the better budget lodging deals in Dallas, which is probably why there’s nearly always a waiting list for a unit. All bills are included, and it’s pet and family friendly. The units are dated and not the best, but mine was clean when I moved in, which matters a lot to me. It also had new carpet, which helped my sanity, lol.

Joanna is an abusive, deceptive person who takes advantage of people. She’s the coldest person I’ve ever dealt with, and I believe she lies and steals. Moving in here puts you at risk. Her abusive behavior feels like a ticking time bomb, and she’ll stop at nothing. You’ve been warned. Rent at your own risk.

The building’s wood is rotten. Please request a health and safety inspection. This place looks like it ought to be condemned.

I’m only here because I have nowhere else to go, and I need somewhere for my kids to stay while my 17-year-old finishes school. If you have no other options, Amerigold Suite is a place to go.
