I left this process feeling misled and uncomfortable, and I no longer wanted to move forward with the property. A former resident had recommended it highly, so I was excited to tour and consider leasing. During the tour, the agent told both me and the person with me that submitting the application by the 20th was enough to get the special. Nobody said it also had to be approved by that date, or that approval could take up to three business days. Knowing that would have affected my decision to apply. I was also first told applying would cost nothing, then later told I had to pay the fee upfront and would be refunded after submitting the application. I emailed to cancel and request a refund because of the misinformation. On the phone, I was told the process had been “very clearly explained” and that there would be no refund. That doesn't match what both of us were told. I understand refund policies, but transparency matters. If the process had been explained accurately from the start, I would've planned differently.

I've been a resident for more than three years. My lease ends in almost 60 days, and I haven't heard anything about renewal options. The management team is the worst I've dealt with in over 18 years of property management and leasing. They don't answer calls or return voicemails and emails, and they don't seem to care whether you're a long-term resident who pays on time. I won't come back and will always tell people not to move here. Vehicle break-ins happen constantly, and there's no security for residents, vehicles, or pets. The community is poorly cared for. Management prioritizes putting in new fans in the open hallways and painting hallways over securing broken gates. They could hardly care less. The five-star reviews seem fake, from people who don't live here and are trying to save face. There's a reason this place is at 2.5 stars, and I'm surprised it's even that high. Move here if you want to regret it. You don't want to deal with this incompetent management team.

Maintenance is fast, the coffee is delicious, and the property is very clean. Ms Posada is very nice and puts on lots of events for the property. Angel and Reynaldo are always pleasant and friendly. Love seeing those two, and they give a great tour.

Don't move here. This is the worst of the seven apartment complexes I've lived in. Right now, water is pouring through my ceiling near the AC and flooding the floor. I noticed it dripping, called the office, and Joseph, the leasing agent, said he'd contact maintenance and told me to submit an online request. I marked it urgent. An hour and a half later, Angel said she'd make sure maintenance knew and that it'd be fixed before the end of the day. I left to run errands expecting it to be done, but when I returned it still wasn't fixed and water was pouring out. The office number has no connection to emergency maintenance. I tried four times and could only find one number for Avant. I removed the unit cover so the water would go into the bathtub instead of onto the floor. I don't know how long the AC drip pan has been failing to drain, but there's mold on the cover. Can someone please fix this? My apartment also wasn't ready on move-in day, despite Joseph and Janet, the assistant property manager, reassuring me beforehand that it was. It hadn't been cleaned, the bathroom mirror was missing, the walls weren't painted and were scuffed, and the hot water heater didn't work. I found that out after a long day of moving when I needed a shower. Other things were broken too. Since it hadn't been painted, I had to move everything away from the walls two weeks later for the painters. I asked Juliana, the property manager, for a small rent discount to make up for the hassle, but she said no. You also need an appointment to speak with her. It was a huge inconvenience and set the tone for my time here. There's only one maintenance person in the whole building, so repairs can take a while. I've had other urgent requests that still took a day to fix. Other residents have told me they have similar experiences with staff. I could say more, but I'll stop here. I'm attaching photos of the current AC problem and how the apartment looked when I moved in.

The first of my four years here was the only good one. The staff and management were different then, and everything went downhill after new management came in. They even fired the best maintenance man because he couldn't pay their rent, which says a lot about their priorities. The maintenance crew is the only team that does its job and shows up when needed. The elevator has been broken for about a year. It makes it very hard for people with mobility issues to get home or visit loved ones, and my grandma hasn't been able to visit. Staff only seem helpful when showing a potential tenant around. Management won't take responsibility and blames residents when there's a problem. They communicate poorly, though they are quick to hand out Chick-fil-A and coffee on random mornings as if that makes up for things. I've asked several times for the property manager or owner's contact information and keep being told there isn't one. That sounds shady. The building looks nice but is clearly old. My windows aren't properly sealed, so it sounds as if they're open all day, and the thermostat works whenever it feels like it, regardless of the settings. You have to pay for trash valet whether or not they show up, and they don't half the time. The garage security company keeps changing, and I've seen security harass actual residents more than the random people who sneak onto the property. With more nightlife on the street, more random people hang around the property and leave trash, which makes it feel unsafe. Management sends weekly emails telling us to stay alert instead of fixing the problem, then still blames us for the trash. This place could be great, but poor management, no accountability, and bad communication make it frustrating to live here.
