Fairfield Inn and Suites Dallas East

I had a good rest, watched Netflix, then got back on the road. The room was clean and comfortable, and the gym was nice enough for a proper workout before driving on. Breakfast had a great selection and gave me what I needed for the trip. It was a convenient, comfortable place to stop during a long drive, and I'd recommend it.

I've been coming to Dallas regularly for work projects over the past few months, and this Fairfield has become my usual choice. The property is clean, fresh, and well cared for inside, and the exterior is bright at night and feels secure. The whole team is friendly and proactive, often asking how they can make the stay better. Both managers, the General Manager and Guest Services Manager, are named Christopher, and they're professional, courteous, and friendly. I'd strongly recommend this place to anyone wanting a good stay outside downtown Dallas.

There are hidden charges for parking, including overnight parking. I told the front desk gentleman I was getting dropped off and wouldn't need parking, but they still charged me $25. The toilet wouldn't flush, so I had to fix the water bomb myself. They never returned my call either. Very unprofessional. If you can, stay somewhere else.

The room was clean when we arrived, and the beds were comfortable, but the service during our Saturday-to-Wednesday stay was really disappointing. Housekeeping came in to make the beds and empty the trash only once. We also ran out of body wash by Sunday and didn’t get it refilled until I asked at the desk on Tuesday. At least there was a bar of soap. They never replenished the coffee or cups, either. I called Monday afternoon for coffee, but it wasn’t brought up, so I went to the front desk. I had to go back again for cups and only got two for the four of us. There was a similar communication problem with breakfast: at check-in Saturday, I was told it ran 6:30-9:30 every day. When we came down Monday at 9, a worker was already clearing things away. She was very kind and let us take the few items left in her cart. This isn’t the kind of service I’m used to, and I don’t want to go through it again.
