Getting around by cab was easy and inexpensive, though I wish there were more things to do and places to eat at night around the hotel. My stay itself was great. The rooms feel like industrial lofts and have everything you need, the front desk team were all lovely, and the bar and market are very affordable.

There was no parking left when I arrived, and the noise from the neighboring room made it hard to sleep. The walls are extremely thin. I called the front desk, and although they said someone would come check, over an hour passed with no change. I finally had to ask the neighbors myself to quiet down, something a guest shouldn't have to handle. I'm a Marriott Gold member, but nobody offered an upgrade or other benefits. When I asked for water at check-in, the front desk was noticeably rude. I was also told late checkout would cost $50 because housekeeping would have to work overtime. That felt unprofessional, like an excuse for an unnecessary charge instead of a standard loyalty benefit. The whole stay was disappointing, felt like poor business practices aimed at taking advantage of guests, and fell well below expectations. I don't recommend the hotel and wouldn't return.

We were in town for marathon weekend, and the start and finish were just a block away, so it worked perfectly. Breakfast ran from 6:00-9:30 AM, and there were lots of restaurants within walking distance if you didn't want delivery. The room was very spacious, with a neat chic warehouse feel, and the staff were helpful and really nice throughout. I'd stay again. The area isn't the best, and parking is pricey: $45 for valet or $30-$60 at the overflow and nearby public lots. Keep that in mind.

A quick parking note, it costs $45. The room was a nice size, but the beds were so hard that my neck and back are killing me. I stay with the Marriott family a lot, so I'm familiar with hotels. The hall carpets are gross, and the exposed electrical and ducts make the place feel cold and warehouse-like instead of welcoming. The concrete building may be why the internet had issues, so I'm not sure there's much to do about that. Some remodeling would help, and a rug extending from under the beds might make the bare concrete feel warmer. Service, though, was a 10 with every employee I interacted with. I believe Keelon checked us in last night, and he was sweet and kind. When the AC and internet acted up, he sent someone right away. Draka in the breakfast area was incredibly kind, like Ms. Rachel kind. I was getting food for all my kids, and she brought me a cardboard box top to use as a tray. Ceci was just as kind at checkout and took time to ask about our stay and why we were traveling. Two cleaning ladies I passed greeted me and my kids warmly. I didn't get their names, but wanted to mention them too.

Being within walking distance of the state fair made this a great stay, and we really enjoyed ourselves. Even with renovations going on, our room was spectacular and spacious, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I loved the wood flooring and took pictures. We also had a view of the pools. The pool looked inviting, but it was very cold. We accepted the invitation and got in anyway.
